Prime Time Palm Beach County facilitated a day of team-building and professional development for practitioners working at South Olive Elementary and Lantana Elementary afterschool programs. Prime Time quality advisors came with a clear mission to ensure attendees were reminded of positive youth development practices that increase overall program quality.
Practitioners were put into teams to craft a boat that included words that represented quality practices in afterschool that would help to keep the ship afloat and sailing forward. Each team was given the opportunity to present and share their structure with all in attendance.
Prime Time made sure to reinforce this message:
When afterschool professionals model positive youth development practices, program quality increases ultimately helping children and youth to reach their fullest potential in school and life.
If your afterschool program is interested in participating in team-building exercises facilitated by Prime Time’s Quality Improvement Team, please contact your quality advisor. If you are not assigned a quality advisor, please contact Prime Time’s Director of Quality Improvement Teal Chance at tchance@primetimepbc.org.
