The 2022 Florida Elementary Theatre Arts Festival was held Saturday, February 26, 2022, at William T. Dwyer High School. Discovery Key Elementary Afterschool Program presented musical scenes from “Hairspray” under the leadership of Director Molly Raimondi. (Molly is seen in 2nd photo with YSPB’s Lucy & Ken Dwyer) Northmore Elementary Afterschool Program presented an original play by Will Rhymes, titled “The Puzzle” under the leadership of Director Will Rhymes.

Youth participated in workshops. Will Rhymes presented the topic “Don’t Just Stand There! Do Something!” In this workshop youth created believable scenes by working synergistically with their peers. They vocally and physically expressed the songs intentions for the characters portrayed in their scenes. It was a great day of collaboration!

“A special thanks to Mrs. C. Geiger, Director of U.B. Kinsey School of the Arts for her dedication and leadership in this wonderful opportunity. Thank you Prime Time of Palm Beach County and the Children’s Service Council for supporting the Arts in afterschool programs.” – Young Singers of the Palm Beaches
