Andrea Isabella Hurtado joins Prime Time with more than 10 years of experience in afterschool, youth development and community advocacy. Andrea graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa with a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Behavioral Healthcare. While in college, she was actively engaged in leadership roles and community service projects. She was the multi-cultural chair for the Latin American Student Association, which advanced her love for leadership in diverse community settings. Since 2011, Andrea has held leadership positions for Relay for Life and is passionate about community connection and creating memorable positive experiences. Since 2014, she has also worked with the YMCA in Boynton Beach on leadership training for adolescents, 12-18 years old. Andrea continues to stay involved with the community by volunteering for various organizations such as Feeding South Florida, Deliver The Dream, March of Dimes, Best Buddies, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, Walk A Mile in Her Shoes, and various walks and marathon events. In her spare time, she loves yoga, writing reviews as a Yelp Elite, performing spoken word or poetry slams and traveling in the search for the next best picture.
