Self-Care 101: Sleep

Sleep: we all need it, but current technology and unhealthy habits prevent us from getting enough of it. Experts recommend adults get eight to 10 hours of sleep every 24-hour period, and children between the ages of 6-12 get 9-12 hours of sleep every 24-hour period, but it is all too easy to instead stay up late watching Netflix or playing games on your phone. This workshop will teach healthy sleeping habits, the importance of sleep, and the benefits one gets from being well rested and ready to wake up. 


Materials Needed: 

  • A notebook
  • pencil or phone is recommended so you can take notes.   
  • After the workshop series, you’ll receive resources and tools to support healthy sleep practices as well as other aspects of self-care.
