Make a “Buzzing Bee” Kazoo Puppet with Ms. Ronni
Using simple materials from around the house, you can create this fun noisemaker that sounds like a buzzing bee! Detach the bee and you have a puppet that can fly around while buzzing. Recommended for grades K-3.
Materials for Kazoo:
- 1 empty toilet paper roll
- Markers
- Sharp pencil
- Rubber band
- Small piece of wax paper to wrap around end of t.p. tube, about 3 1/2 inches square or round**
**(If you don’t have wax paper, the bag inside a cereal box can substitute, but it doesn’t vibrate as well. )
Materials For the Bee:
- Small piece of plain cardboard, file folder or heavier paper to draw your bee on
- OR one plastic spoon + a small piece of copy paper or wax paper for wings
- One pencil, chopstick, pipe cleaner or wooden skewer to attach the bee to
- One Q Tip/cotton swab for the antennae
- Scotch tape or masking tape, small piece
