Florida Facts: Mangroves and Alligators (Grades 3 – 8)

Join Becca, our Aquarium Director, as she takes you on a journey through our aquarium to learn about some of the flora and fauna found in native Florida: the all-important alligator and the miraculous salt-water-dwelling mangrove tree!

Post video activity – Baby alligators have stripes on their body to help them blend into their environment. By camouflaging themselves, their chances of survival dramatically increase. Practice your camouflaging skills by doing the following activity: The Art of Camouflage

This activity is provided by South Florida Science Center and Aquarium.
