Creatures with 8, 6, 4, 2 and 0 Legs

This exploration will include a search for a variety of fauna and a conversation of the different kinds of animals that share the park with us. From the eight-legged spider to the mollusk with no legs, children will explore dynamics in the animal world by discussing sizes, preferences and abilities of animals. To close, children could do a clay animal depicting their favorite number of legs.  


Suggested materials: 

  • Clay or playdough 
  • Tiny sticks or toothpicks
