Increasing community awareness of and focusing public attention on the importance of afterschool programs are key strategies of Prime Time’s advocacy efforts.  Recognizing the benefits of afterschool – keeping kids safe, inspiring learning and helping working families – Prime Time presents an annual countywide celebration held in conjunction with Lights On Afterschool, a national awareness day conceived by the Afterschool Alliance, a non-profit advocacy organization.  Prime Time’s advocacy activities also include ongoing support of Afterschool for All, a national petition campaign aimed at securing the signatures of individuals and organizations in support of access to quality afterschool programs for all children.
